The costs of operating a concert and marching show band of this size and stature are substantial. The youth of the Red Deer Royals gratefully appreciate your consideration to support their musical endeavours.

Fundraising

All the Bands of the Society are entrenched in Red Deer and the surrounding communities providing entertainment and community service.  As an organization, we participate in a variety of fundraising activities to help offset the operating costs.  Grey Cup Pool Tickets,  Sobey’s Grocery Cards, and Shop and Support Gift Cards (wide variety of retailers) are available for purchase by the public in support of the Red Deer Community Band Society.

The Red Deer Royals assist a variety of community groups doing catering, honour guard, coat check, etc. If your organization would like the assistance of the Royals or could help us with fundraising, please contact Jenny Van Eyk, Fundraising Chairperson at fundraising@reddeerroyals.com.

Marching Showband Classic

Further volunteer opportunities are available for non-members to assist with the production of the Marching Showband Classic. Held in May, the Marching Showband Classic is our annual Field Show event for Alberta Marching Show Bands. Organized by a volunteer committee, chaired by the Society Vice President, Martin Rheaume, the orchestration of this event requires hours of volunteer time to organize and approximately 100 volunteers on event day. This event also requires financial support, either through cash donations or donation of silent auction items or raffle items.

Adopt-A-Royal Program

The Board of the Red Deer Community Band Society endeavours to maintain a fair and equitable fee structure. There are individual situations where the financial burden of fees, uniforms, camps and tours can be substantial. It is important to The Society that membership be available to all demographics of the community.

Donations to support those with financial challenges are both welcome and confidential. Please contact Heidi O’Connor, President at president@reddeerroyals.com

Donations for our New Home

The Red Deer Royals in partnership with the Red Deer Royals Alumni, The Red Deer Catholic Regional School Division, and the city of Red Deer are building a new home of the Royals at St. Joseph’s Catholic School.
